CONTROL DESCRIPTION:
The controls are mounted in a free standing panel. There is a Honeywell UDC 3000 digital controller for each of the 3 zones and 1 for the high limit. SCR power controllers for each zone regulate power to the elements. Allen Bradley SLC controls all functions of the furnace. The belt speed is controlled through a variable speed controller mounted in the enclosure. Waukee flow meters for Dissociated Ammonia and Nitrogen are located on the cooling chamber. A bubbler is provided to supply wet atmosphere into the furnace.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Variable speed continuous belt furnace designed for use with Dissociated Ammonia and Nitrogen protective atmospheres. Wire mesh belt, no muffle. Entrance table is 60" long followed by an 18" long entry chamber with atmosphere curtains. Brick lined heat section is 90" long controlled in 3 zones. Silicon carbide heating elements (18 total) are located above the belt and under the hearth. Water cooled cooling sections follow the heat section and are equipped with automatic regulating valves and sight thermometers. Cooling is divided into 2 sections, a 48" long chamber and a 96" long chamber, exit chamber with atmosphere curtain box and 36" long exit table. Belt loading is 9.3 lb. per lineal foot.
